“WHAT IS DETAILING”

  • Detailing refers to the thorough cleaning, restoration, and finishing of a vehicle, both inside and out, to produce a high-quality cleanliness and polish. Unlike a regular car wash, detailing involves much more attention to detail and can include both cosmetic and preventive maintenance tasks.

  • Car Wash:

    A car wash focuses on the surface-level cleaning of a vehicle’s exterior and interior, typically completed in a short amount of time. It’s quicker and less expensive than detailing but offers limited results.

    Detailing:

    Car detailing is a comprehensive, in-depth cleaning, restoration, and finishing process that involves attention to every aspect of the vehicle, inside and out. The goal is to restore the vehicle to its best possible condition, addressing both aesthetic and preventive maintenance needs

    • Preserves Value: Maintains or increases the resale value of the vehicle.

    • Protects Surfaces: Helps prevent damage from UV rays, contaminants, and wear and tear.

    • Improves Appearance: Restores the vehicle to near-new condition.

  • Process:

    • Exterior: Hand wash, clay bar treatment, paint correction (polishing), waxing or sealing, wheel cleaning, and tire dressing.

    • Interior: Deep cleaning with shampooing of carpets, upholstery, leather treatment, dashboard and console detailing, and glass polishing.

    • Engine (optional): Degreasing and cleaning the engine bay.

  • Takes several hours (2–8 hours depending on the level of detail).
